My quest is about reading the whole Bible in Filipino, English and Greek. It started in July 2012. I haven't read much and I want to motivate myself by sharing this to everyone. Also, I want to encourage you to be my reading buddies on this. Here's a copy of The Holy Bible King James Version you can get.

Why read this in three different languages? First, I want to know more and more about Bible and God.  Second, linguistic interest me. Lastly, I realized from reading books that language is not always very sufficient when it was only translated, there could be minimum misconceptions, and substitution of words is unavoidable especially when a word doesn't even exist on the other.

I plan on finishing it on Filipino and English before graduating college, but I really do hope to finish it earlier. Greek would have to wait since I don't even know the language yet! Anyway, Bible was written in three different languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. I'm still thinking about the other two.. [6/5/13]

So I'm currently reading the Bible in Filipino and here's my status:
Lumang Tipan

I have read 15 out of 39 books on Old Testament (Lumang Tipan)

''For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.'' -Hebrews 4:12

Bagong Tipan

I have read 0 out of 27 books on New Testament (Bagong Tipan)
